It has been a pleasure to know and work with Nikkie Hunter on concerns in my neighborhood, from street repairs to new light installations. She always puts residents and neighborhoods first. I've also witnessed her good deeds and volunteer projects first hand, projects like Fish creek clean up, Thanksgiving meals for those in need, PTA sock drives, and so many other community outreach concerns. Far too many to list. Nikkie Hunter has been great blessing for District 3. She genuinely cares about her community and neighbors.

I would like to commend Councilwoman Nikkie Hunter for her dedication to serving our community. Who had a sidewalk fixed because an elderly man couldn’t push his Walker over the damage part of the sidewalk? Nikkie Hunter , City Councilwoman ,District Three. Who cleaned up an area that was a dump site that was supposed to be for dropping clothing in a box? Nikkie Hunter City Councilwoman District Three. Who gives a Tea Party for Nonprofits to help the unfortunate ? Nikkie Hunter is a person who wants to help her community and when she says she will do something she always follows through.

I’ve known Nikkie for a couple of years now, and she’s such an amazing leader. She is a kind soul and genuinely wants the best for all individuals here in Arlington. Not only does she lead with her heart, but she also makes every single decision with integrity, compassion, and the community in mind.

I met Nikkie Hunter when she ran for her first term as our District 3 city council person. At the time, I was running a Facebook and Nextdoor group dedicated to our small block between Timberview, 360, Arkansas, and Collins. I invited both people running for the position to be interviewed by our members and posted on the site. Of the two, only Nikkie responded. She was precise with her answers and passionate about our neighborhood. It is no secret that West Arlington gets taken care of way better than East Arlington. Over Nikkie’s last two terms, I have personally witnessed her fight to make sure that District 3 gets equal representation in the City. She has made sure that our sidewalks are fixed. She actively put together a call on Facebook to have people send in pictures of potholes in her district to be fixed, and then got them fixed. She has had graffiti removed from our city parks and worked with the police chief to make sure those parks remained safe and clean.

Nikkie Hunter has been a strong advocate and representative in District 3. She makes livable neighborhoods her number one priority by getting citizens’ needs heard and addressed quickly by city council and city management. Nikkie brings strong representation of District 3 to the business community through networking and advocacy. She consistently promotes community involvement and events such as town halls, pop ups, clean up events and her annual women’s health fair. I’m very proud to have Nikkie as my District 3 Representative.

Over the many years of knowing Nikkie, working with her on multiple initiatives that are keenly impactful to our community, she is a true rarity - leading by honesty, genuine sincerity and is the most "service above self" individual I have ever known. Nikkie has been absolutely tremendous in supporting and advocating for District Three. Nikkie has championed initiatives that have brought safety, security and quality to our community. These successful actions resulted in enhancements to combat ever increasing traffic concerns, effectively supporting police and citizen engagement, beautifying our neighborhoods with quality projects and even forging a path to bring a new park with donated land to the southernmost part of the City. I am forever eternally grateful to all of Nikkie's commitment to her neighbors and community. Nikkie Hunter is the real deal, her genuineness and sincerity cannot be understated

There are so many accolades that I could share about Nikkie Hunter and I will share some of those. First of all she is a great person and one of the most community-minded individuals that I have ever met. District 3 is blessed beyond measure to have her representing us. She is approachable, accessible, answers calls and questions when asked and does it with grace and a great attitude. You see her all over the community taking care of her constituents needs with kindness and concern. Nikkie hosts community events that are so impactful to those who have had those experiences like breast cancer, food insecurity, job loss, homelessness and so much more. I highly recommend Nikkie Hunter to continue making a difference in the Arlington community.

Her commitment to bringing people together was on full display at this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness event, which she organized and led with care, intention, and heart. The event was a powerful and successful example of how thoughtful leadership can strengthen community connections, raise awareness, and inspire action. Arlington is stronger because of leaders like Nikkie Hunter who show up, listen, and lead with purpose.

As a Community Leader and Advocate (Professional Volunteer), I can attest that Nikkie Hunter’s leadership is defined by her commitment to community, public safety, and listening to the voices of her neighbors, her constituents. Her ongoing service to Arlington can be defined from her hosting town halls, finding time to attending last minute appearance requests, donating to help others, volunteering to serve non-profit and for-profit organizations, her Breast Cancer and Health Care awareness initiatives, and advocating for strong neighborhoods, just to name a few. This shows a leader who doesn’t just represent her district but truly serves it. As a friend for the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of watching who Nikkie is. Her kindness is steady, her care for others is sincere, and she leads quietly through her actions. There’s a calm strength in the way she shows up, and it speaks volumes about her heart.

I met Nikkie years ago while on multiple community projects. Nikkie has a passion for helping and supporting the community. When others begin to run out of steam, Nikkie brings the motivational wind to keep them sailing with smiles. Long before she became a City Council woman, Nikkie took on many community supporting projects across the DFW area which gained my attention on my Radio Show. Nikkie was a guest who shared some of her projects and before long many listeners were ready to volunteer and help. Nikkie leads by example which inspires others to do the same. Many of our listeners responded by saying they never knew how to get started but Nikkie explained and showed them the way to make their community better. Nikkie is not a voice on the phone or behind a desk, she is out in the neighborhoods listening to the concerns of the people and giving hope where she can. No task mis to big or small. In a world where many are divided by politics, Nikkie is focused on the people. She doesn’t see religion, color or gender. Nikkie sees people. She is a true humanitarian in every aspect. We need more people like Nikkie Hunter in Office and in our communities.

Councilwoman Hunter has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, and a genuine passion for community health. Her hands-on involvement, attention to detail, and ability to bring diverse organizations together have been key to the continued success of her Breast Cancer event. She leads by example, with compassion and purpose, always ensuring that the needs of the community come first. As Central Region Chair for District 2X1, Lions Clubs International, I have worked with many leaders, and I can confidently say that Councilwoman Nikkie Hunter stands out for her commitment, integrity, and heart for service. Arlington is truly blessed to have a leader like her, and I fully support her continued service to our community.

Working with Nikkie has made a real difference for the special needs community. Nikkie doesn’t just talk about serving the community—she shows up and gets it done. Her leadership in organizing the community food drive brought neighbors, partners, elected officials and volunteers together to make sure families in need were supported. Because of her compassion and dedication, hundreds of residents received essential food items and hope during a time it mattered most. She's a blessing for not only the district, but for the entire city.

I want to thank Nikkie for her advocacy for the special needs community. When my family experienced issues with Handitran services, she stepped in and helped without hesitation. She truly went above and beyond to make sure our concerns were addressed—even though I don’t live in her district. That speaks volumes about her character and her commitment to serving all people with compassion, respect, and care.

For years, residents living along Southeast Parkway raised concerns about safety and traffic congestion. Nikkie listened and took action. Thanks to her persistence and advocacy, a much-needed traffic light was installed, which will make a real difference for drivers, pedestrians, and nearby neighborhoods.

Nikkie cares about the small things that make a big difference. Our streets were in bad shape with constant potholes, and she made it a priority to fix them. She stayed engaged, followed through, and delivered results. That’s the kind of leadership our neighborhoods need

When we had a concern in our neighborhood, Nikkie didn’t just respond—she showed up. She came to our home, took the time to understand the issue firsthand, and worked to get it resolved. You don’t often see elected officials this hands-on.

When I was struggling to keep up with mowing my yard, I reached out to Nikkie for help. I never imagined she would show up herself. Nikkie took the time to come to my home and personally mow my yard. It meant more than just yard work—it meant someone cared. She didn’t pass me off or make excuses. She showed up and helped. That’s the kind of leader Nikkie is—hands-on, compassionate, and always willing to serve her neighbors.

Known for being accessible, dependable, and proactive, Nikkie answers the phone, follows through, and takes care of city issues without passing the buck. Residents consistently praise her responsiveness, professionalism, and commitment to getting things done. With a proven track record of serving the community effectively, Nikkie Hunter genuinely looks out for the people she represents and works every day to ensure their concerns are addressed.

I’m proud to support Nikkie Hunter for reelection to Arlington City Council.
